 This sign is dedicated to the first child in the family.  There is a small space of time that only the first child experiences when he goes from being the only child to the adjustment of sharing the most important woman in his life. That bittersweet time when the love of his life gives her love equally to a new child. The time passes and the joy of being a big brother or sister replaces the confusion. 

The child depicted in this sign is such a child at such a moment in his life. The roses in his tiny hands represent the sweet, deep love he has for Mommy. The blankie tucked under his arm expresses his neediness.  His time is spent doing all he can to get and keep her attention exclusively, but to no avail. 

Each Mommy throughout time knows this period of tears and tantrums and is glad of it's short duration.
